Through a collaboration with UNC Wilmington, Connecting the Dots: Teen Mental Health First Aid Retreat will engage teen Mental Health First Aid completers from NC schools in activities that will enhance their use of mental health first aid. The teens will engage in team building activities, explore strategies that promote resilience and well-being while experiencing a college campus environment. The retreat will close with a recognition ceremony to induct these students into the first cohort of NC Teen Mental Health First Aid Ambassadors.

They will hear from the following speakers:
- The Mental Health Associates of New Jersey will discuss the importance of tMHFA curriculum, and they will have an activity for the teens
- Suzanne Pearlman will work with teens to discuss the importance of acknowledging culture when supporting others. She will also have the teens create their own wellness plans
- Palreddy Lowe will work with the teens to incorporate basic principles or mental health, equity, racial justice
